Job Overview:
KAM Controls, Inc., Houston, TX seeks R&D Engineer to engineer and / or update instrument drawings for RFQs and other drawings required by R&D. Liquids mixing calculations, pressure drop calculations, determining mixing recommendations, etc. Procurement of pumps and components for the KAM Measurement Loop solution. R&D documentation: including but not limited to assembly instructions, installation procedures, building diagrams, troubleshooting documentation, bill of materials, etc. Conduct advanced CFD simulations using OpenFOAM to assess fluid dynamics, evaluate mixing efficiency, and determine optimal C1/C2 ratios for enhanced tool performance. Perform detailed analysis on flow behavior, turbulence modeling, and pressure gradients to support the design and optimization of KAM mixing solutions. Design and develop product assemblies in support of R&D initiatives. Identify and communicate with suppliers for parts and components needed to complete KAM solutions. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Interdisciplinary/Innovation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related and 12 months experience.
